Always be sure to properly size your chain during installation. A too short chain can jam your drivetrain if there is not enough chain to pass through the rear derailleur and wrap around the largest cog and chainring in your drivetrain.
Our standard MTB (2x, 3x) and road rear derailleurs require 1 inch (1 inner and 1 outer link) of additional chain after wrapping “big-big” (big chainring front/ big cog in the rear, bypassing the rear derailleur) when sizing. 1x specific, Clutch style rear derailleurs will require 2 inches (2 inner and 2 outer links).
If you have a full suspension MTB, be sure the chain is measured when the rear suspension is set at FULL suspension growth.
